Lapp Electric “Shining Bright” News: Joel Yoder receives Journeyman Electrician Certification

Lapp Electrical Service, Inc. is pleased to announce that Joel Yoder has received his Journeyman Electrician certification.

Joel joined Lapp Electric in 2015 as a helper electrician and quickly advanced to an Apprentice Electrician and then a Tech 1 Electrician. Joel currently holds the role of a Tech 2 Electrician.

On May 23, 2019, Joel graduated from the Independent Electrical Contractor (IEC) Apprenticeship Program. In order for Joel to receive his Journeyman Electrician certification, he had to complete a 4-year program which consisted of 576 hours of classroom training (144 hours per year), comprehensive finals that had to be passed each year prior to advancing to the next level, and a minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training (2,000 hours per year).

Yoder, of Lititz, is a graduate of Ephrata High School and served in the United States Marines Corps.
