Lapp Electric Turns 50 – Week 7 (Grace Bible Fellowship, Going Live & Leadership)

In a July 27, 2018 article published by Business Insider entitled “The 50 best places to live in America for 2018”, Lancaster, PA was listed as #32.

What was their reason behind why Lancaster is one of the top 50 best places to live?

“In Lancaster, residents can breeze through numerous environments in the course of a day, from rolling farmland to busy city streets to quiet suburbs.”

We have been honored to serve the residents of Lancaster County for the past 50 years and we think that Lancaster is an awesome place to live and work.

50 years in business is something to be celebrated and each week via social media we are going to be doing just that as 2019 marks 50 years in business for Lapp Electric.

Each week we are also going to summarize our social media posts on our Blog.

Work Site

For a company that averages over 2500 jobs a year, picking out 52 job sites may be a challenge, but we look forward to sharing with you some memorable jobs over the past 50 years.

For our 7th edition of #WorkSiteWednesday we went back to a renovation project that we did for Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Reading.

Unfortunately, we did not always write the year down on the pictures that we took so we are not sure when this project was completed, however we believe it was from the 1980s or 1990s.

52 Memories of 50 Years

Have you ever gone Live on Social Media? Last year, for the first (and only time) Lapp Electric went Live on Facebook at our February company meeting to reveal the 2018 organization we would support as part of our Cause Awareness Month.

Our Cause Awareness month is something that we started in 2017 as a way to give back because one of our core values at Lapp Electric is…”We believe in Superior Service to our customers, team members and our community“. Through our Cause Awareness Month, we raise awareness and funds for a cause or non-profit each September.

Last year, the team at Lapp Electric submitted causes and non-profits that were close to their hearts and the Lapp Electric team voted. We then went live to reveal the winner.

To see the Live Reveal, check out this video.

We are currently in the midst of a contest to determine the 2019 non-profit that we are going to support as part of our September Cause Awareness Month. Voting is open until Sunday, February 24th, 2019.

Check out our Lapp Electric Announces Contest to choose 2019 Cause Awareness Month Non-Profit Blog post to find out more and to vote.

L = Leadership

“Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire team-mates and customers.” – Robin S. Sharma
