2019 is a special year for Lapp Electric because we are celebrating our 50th year in business but it is also special because 2019 marks 20 years since Manny Lapp, founder of Lapp Electric, was presented with the Small Business Person of the Year Award by the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce at their Annual Dinner.
52 Memories of 50 Years
To celebrate Manny and his legacy, since 2017, Lapp Electric has proudly sponsored the Lancaster Chamber Business Person of the Year Award and we were so excited to be a part of this celebration again last week at the 147th Lancaster Chamber Annual Dinner.
This year was extra special for Lapp Electric as Roger North from North Group Consultants was presented with the Business Person of the Year Award. Lapp Electric was one of Roger’s first clients and was a dear friend of Manny Lapp.
Thank you Roger for the shout out to Lapp Electric in your video and we hope that “Manny is smiling down of us.”
In case you didn’t know, this year’s speaker at the 147th Annual Dinner was Indra Nooyi. Any guesses who the speaker was in 1999? If you guessed Katie Couric, you would be correct.

In 2015, we helped our friends at Bird-in-Hand Family Inn out with a renovation project. They made some changes to the lobby area as well as some of the rooms.
