As we look back at the last 50 years in Lapp Electric’s history, we are interested to find out facts about the year 1969 as well as other things that were founded that year.
In our quest to find out about the year 1969, we came to realize that the iconic Sesame Street first aired on public television on November 10, 1969 (The Evolution of ‘Sesame Street’). The “colorful community of monsters, birds, grouches, and humans” is “a place where everyone counts.” (https://www.sesamestreet.org/anniversary)
If you grew up watching Sesame Street or watched it with your children or grandchildren, who was your favorite character?
Like Lapp Electric, Sesame Street is holding a year long celebration in which they are “bringing people together from streets far and wide to celebrate 50 years and counting.”
At Lapp Electric, we are bringing people together, in our year-long celebration, by sharing memories of the past 50 years via social media as well as summarizing our posts each week on our blog.

For a company that averages over 2500 jobs a year, picking out 52 job sites may be a challenge, but we look forward to sharing with you some memorable jobs over the past 50 years.
Back in the 1970s or 1980s (not sure the exact year), we did a service change for Groff’s Snack Foods.

Over the years we have used newsletters as a way of communicating with our team what is going on at Lapp Electric as well as what is happening in the lives of fellow team members.
The style and name of the newsletter has changed since it was first started but it is something that we still enjoy sharing with our team each quarter.
