Lapp Electric Turns 50 – Week 18 (Educators Mutual, Lighting Seminar & Reliable)

During 2019, we are looking back at the year 1969…the year Lapp Electric was founded, to find out some of the things that were happening and what life was like. Our year-long celebration of sharing memories of the last 50 years via social media are also being summarized in posts each week on our blog.

This week as we took a look back at the year 1969, we found out that on April 22, 1969, Robin Knox-Johnston became “the first person to sail single handed and non-stop around the world.”

Robin’s adventure began on June 14, 1968 when he set sail from Falmouth, England on his yacht named Suhaili. 312 days later on April 22, 1969, Robin “secured his placed in the history books” when he returned to Falmouth.

While Lapp Electric has yet to secure our place in the history books (that we know of), we have an awesome history that we enjoy sharing. By the way, we did make national news back in 2004 and if you don’t know why, check out the About Us section.

If you did not have a chance, be sure to check out last week’s post:

52 Memories of 50 Years

In April 2018, we hosted our first ever Breakfast & Learn Seminar.

The topic of conversation was lighting, specifically LED Lighting.

We were grateful to our friends at A1 Energy for helping us out with this educational seminar to inform our customers and the community about LED Lighting.
