When you hear or see 50, what comes to mind?
This week, we decided to do a little research into the number 50 and see what we could find out.
As expected, one of the first things we found was that “fifty is a natural number following 49 and preceding 51.”
After we get past the obvious, here are some other facts we found out about the number 50…
- 50 is the atomic number of the element tin
- There are 50 states in the United States
- 50 is known as the golden anniversary
- The number of letters in the word fifty equal the sum of the digits
50 years in business is something to be celebrated and each week via social media we are going to be doing just that as 2019 marks 50 years in business for Lapp Electric.

For a company that averages over 2500 jobs a year, picking out 52 job sites may be a challenge, but we look forward to sharing with you some memorable jobs over the past 50 years.
How do you feel about heights?
This week we took a look back at 2014 when we worked on the stadium lights at Lampeter-Strasburg School District.
We are thankful to our many electricians who are not afraid of heights and to the two electricians who were willing to climb to the top in order to provide Superior Customer Service to Lampeter-Strasburg School.
Bonus…The view from the top was a great view of Lampeter-Strasburg’s athletic fields and surrounding farmland.
52 Memories of 50 Years
Unfortunately, not all of our memories from the past 50 years are happy ones.
Nine years ago on January 25th, the world lost an amazing man…Manny Lapp, co-founder of Lapp Electric.
A Leader, who was always Accessible, Persevered through everything while maintaining a Positive Attitude and an Enthusiasm for life and most importantly was Reliable.
Manny Lapp…we love you and miss you and we wish your passing did not have to be one of our #52Memoriesof50Years
