During our 5th week of looking back at the past 50 years in Lapp Electric’s history, a large portion of the United States experienced extremely cold temperatures and snow, including Central PA.
This brought back memories for us of the winter of 1996, which not only had a blizzard but also extremely cold temperatures.
This begs the question: Would you rather have snow and extremely cold weather, like this past week and the winter of 1996, or temperatures at or exceeding 100-degress?
50 years in business is something to be celebrated and each week via social media we are going to be doing just that as 2019 marks 50 years in business for Lapp Electric.
Each week we are also going to summarize our social media posts on our Blog.
If you did not have a chance, be sure to check out our previous posts:

Work Site
For a company that averages over 2500 jobs a year, picking out 52 job sites may be a challenge, but we look forward to sharing with you some memorable jobs over the past 50 years.
This week we took it back to 1983 and a service change that we did at H.M. Stauffer & Sons.
Over the past 50 years, we have completed thousands of service changes at residential, commercial and industrial facilities and we are thankful to everyone who has trusted Lapp Electric for their electrical service needs.
52 Memories of 50 Years
In keeping with the weather theme of the week, our #52MemoriesOf50Years took us back to the Ice Storm of 2014.
On February 5, 2014, a severe ice storm hit Lancaster County, bringing down power lines and causing individuals to be without power for days.
In the days after the event, Lapp Electric responded to over 50 emergencies to reattach meter bases to homes and help restore power.
Our technicians willingly worked long days in order to serve our customers.
We are proud of the way everyone at Lapp worked together to provide the superior service that our customers have come to know and expect from Lapp Electric.
