Lapp Electric Turns 50 – Week 32 (Perseverance, Birthdays & Lancaster Truck Wash)

When people think of music and the year 1969, one of the first things that come to mind is Woodstock.

Woodstock took place on a farm in New York from August 15th – August 18th.

Over half a million people descended on the farm for four days to listen to 32 acts.

Woodstock is known as one of the greatest happenings of all time and –perhaps- the most pivotal moment in music history.”

Just like Woodstock was pivotal in the music history, 1969 was a pivotal moment in history for Lapp Electric. This was the year that Lapp Electric was founded.

Unlike Woodstock, which was a one time event, Lapp Electric has continued to exist for the past 50 years and we hope to continue the legacy started by Manny Lapp for 50+ years to come.

52 Memories of 50 Years

Over the years we have celebrated employee birthdays in various ways from having cake to giving everyone off on their birthday.

Over the past three years we have been intentional about celebrating this special day of our employees.

Since so many of our employees are in the field and do not come to the shop on a regular basis, a member of our Leadership Team visits each employee on their birthday to deliver a special gift.

We are thankful to Lancaster Cupcake, Emma’s Popcorn and Stoltzfus Meats for helping us out with our employee gifts over the last three years.

Work Site

In 2010, we did a bucket truck project for Lancaster Truck Wash.

Do you have exterior parking lot lights that need replaced or have something that you are unable to reach with a ladder? Give us a call Today and we can be there Today with our Bucket Truck to help you out!
