Lapp Electric Turns 50 – Week 35 (Reliable, Beck Aluminum & Tammy K Smith Pageant)

School has been back in session for over a month now. If you walk into any elementary school art room or elementary school classroom, you are most likely to find glue sticks.

Did you know that in 1969 Henkel, a German based company, invented the glue stick?

Do you know what Henkel’s inspiration was for the glue stick? They got their inspiration “after studying the ‘twist-up ease’ and convenience of lipstick applicators.” Lipstick…who would have guessed.

Like glue sticks, which have stood the test of time over the past 50 years and are still popular today, Lapp Electric has stood the test of time and we are so excited to be celebrating our 50-year anniversary.

52 Memories of 50 Years

Commitment to the Community and Community Involvement is something important to us and was a value instilled by Manny Lapp.

In the 1980s, as a way of giving back to the community, we sponsored Tammy K. Smith in a Pageant.
